This is a pretty full programme and offers something for everyone. There is also a special "Early Bird" price for bookings for the Friday Evening Welcome (10 euro) & the Saturday Lecture Programme (15 euro) so be sure to reserve your place while there is still time.
The Friday Evening Welcome features the Dermot F Gleeson memorial Lecture by local historian and author Danny Grace. This will be followed by a wine & cheese reception where people can mingle and chat. And at 10 euro it is excellent value for money.
The Saturday Lecture Programme contains a wonderful array of speakers and topics and will prove to be a fabulous way to immerse yourself in the history of the Gleeson 'Clan' and the many wonderful people who have born the name. You will laugh, you will cry, you will enjoy yourself. It's guaranteed.
There will also be free genealogical consultations and DNA testing at especially discounted prices.
The Saturdays events will be followed by a free tour of Nenagh Castle by the wonderful Kevin Whelan and everyone will meet back at the Scouts' Hall later in the evening for a Monster Social Evening. Most of the remaining events for Sunday through to Monday are free but you will need to reserve your place as son as possible "to avoid disappointment". If there is an exceptional demand for some of the tours we will try to put on additional ones, so it would be good to have an early indication of this.
